Why we built Rufen
The voice AI tools we tried in 2025 had three problems: opaque pricing with model markup baked into every minute, prompts that lived in black-box platforms with no audit trail, and a hard ceiling on which models you could use.
We wanted the opposite. Bring your own keys. Pay providers directly. Version every prompt. Trace every call. Run any LLM you want — or run our local stack for sub-second latency.
